October 4th 2010, Sittard – Digital advertising company BannerConnect has become a fully certified Internet Advertising Sales House (IASH) member, making it the first IASH accredited company in the Netherlands. A thorough audit by ABCe confirms BannerConnect operates within the IASH Code of Conduct.
As one of 26 IASH members, BannerConnect is allowed to use the IASH Kite Mark, the industry’s stamp of trust. Together with the other IASH members, BannerConnect will take an active role in shaping the future of the industry and stimulating transparency in online advertising.
For advertisers and ad agencies in the UK and Ireland, the IASH logo is a renowned hallmark, instilling trust and confidence in the online advertising company. Their brand is protected from displaying on any barred content.
Tim Geenen, responsible for Business Development at BannerConnect, said “The IASH accreditation is important for our UK business and proves the success of our Brand Safety practices. Our next goal is to work with the IAB in order to adopt the IASH standard in the Netherlands.”
The Internet Advertising Sales House (IASH) encourages and polices best practice among online advertising sales houses, through adoption of an effective Code of Conduct. IASH approved online advertising ensures advertisers that their display ads do not appear on websites which could jeopardize an advertiser’s brand. To maintain their IASH membership, Member Sales Houses are audited twice yearly, on a random set of insertion orders from a random month.
About IASH
The Internet Advertising Sales House (IASH) was created in 2005, by owners of ad networks, to encourage best practice among online advertising sales houses through adoption of an effective code of conduct. IASH also exists to promote the real benefits of the online advertising network business model.
IASH approved online advertising ensures advertisers that their display ads do not appear on websites which could jeopardise an advertiser’s brand. The IASH Code of Conduct forbids members from selling inventory related to hate, indecency, bombs, guns, spyware, and etcetera, while encouraging transparency for the advertiser. If advertisers choose to include other types of inventory, these options must be explicitly selected on the insertion order.
